Welcome to WOHKN

The Western Ontario Health Knowledge Network (WOHKN) was founded in 2007 out of a common vision to provide access to appropriate, relevant and reliable evidence to the health care providers in our region and to strengthen the relationship between Western University and the libraries of health care institutions with Education Affiliation Agreements with Western University.  Since our inception, we have undergone many changes, including adding new partners from the Erie- St. Clair LHIN.

The purpose of WOHKN is to ensure that library services provided at the Affiliated Hospital Libraries and Western Libraries are efficiently planned and developed, directed, coordinated and inter-related within available resources to enhance health education, research and evidence-based clinical practice.

The WOHKN cooperative has maintained its commitment to our founding objectives throughout our growth and evolution and continues to look for innovation and partnership to further the aim of providing healthcare professionals with equal access to quality knowledge based information that supports the delivery of quality patient care, patient safety and the provision of best practice. All WOHKN partners are required to have library services provided by qualified staff.  For more information, contact WOHKN's Planning and Operations Committee co-chairs.
